Pop-Culture Recommendations for the Week

Here are my pop-culture recommendations for the week of July 16th.

Movies: Ratatouille This is one of the best Pixar movies, and it is not only doing new things with characters and shadowing in CGI, but its a great story with endearing characters.

DVDs: Lost in Translation It's one of the better Sofia Coppola films, and it is a Bill Murray to remember. The story is intriguing. Beware, however, there's some material not suitable for everyone.

Books: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Of course I would recommend this book, which comes out on Saturday. It's the final of the Harry Potter collection and its going to be worth reading to be sure.

Other: The iphone. It's worth checking out because it is flashy and cool looking. But look at someone else's phone and don't buy your own. Most of us already have an ipod, cell phone, digital camera, and personal computer. Read Rich Clark's article on the iphone if you need some more persuassion.
